MINOT, North Dakota – Thanks to the Aggie Foundation, a $800 donation to the Western ND Honor Flight (WNDHF) was made to help fund a trip to Washington D.C.for local veterans.

Dennis Burdolski, Board Member, shared his thanks to the Aggie Foundation for the scholarship money.

“Our fundraising efforts have been supercharged in numerous ways. Local community groups and service clubs have really shown their support through many donations, both big and small. The WNDHF board of directors made it a goal to host some kind of organized public fundraiser every month and we’ve been blessed with many fine foundational gifts/grants,” said Dennis.

“As we move into 2023, we are excited and also humbled by the generous support we’ve received as we work towards our next goal. We have secured funding for and are planning our next flight from Bismarck in April 2023. We have built momentum and are planning a second flight to take place in October 2023.”

WNDHF is dedicated to honoring American veterans and provides them with the opportunity to visit veteran memorials in Washington D.C. WNDHF’s highest priority are those who served during World War II or Korea, as well as veteran heroes currently facing terminal illness – giving all of America’s warriors an unforgettable moment to remember for years to come.

“Our partnership with Arny’s 2.0 has led to some impactful donations,” said Terry Peterson, Aggie Foundation Board President. “Making this one was really important and made us proud to be doing what we do.”

The Aggie Foundation was established in 2012 by a group of friends from Velva, ND. The Foundation initially supported its mission of charitable giving via a modest, yearly scholarship provided to a Senior from Velva who excelled in Biology. They began to help raise funds for citizens in need, schools, youth sports, and local organizations or groups doing good things in Velva and the surrounding communities. Their expansion as a broad grant-provider and community partner allows them to support organizations across North Dakota working with community leaders to identify which organizations are in need of economic assistance.
